Interview to Olivia Martinez
As a journalist, I am privileged to meet and converse with individuals from all walks of life. Some stories inspire, some educate, and some simply make us view the world through a different lens. The conversation I’m about to share with you does all three.
In the realm of mental health, the name Mr. Federico Rossi rings a bell. Born and raised in Italy, Federico is a clinical psychologist with years of experience, and a counselor who has worked with clients worldwide. Federico’s story is not just about his professional accomplishments; it’s about a man who was raised by two psychotherapist parents, a man who found his true calling amidst the dynamic world of television and cinema, and a man who cherishes the beauty of emotions, empathy, and life itself.
We’re thrilled to have you with us today. Could you please share a bit about your background and your journey to becoming a clinical psychologist?
Rossi: Absolutely. I was born and raised in Italy, and I’ve been fortunate to call both Rome and Milan my homes. I have always been surrounded by psychology, thanks to my parents who are both psychotherapists. Their dedication to mental well-being deeply influenced me and inspired me to follow in their footsteps. I hold degrees and Masters in Clinical Psychology, Economics, and Communication. Over the past years, I’ve had the privilege to work with clients worldwide, specializing in depression, anxiety, anger, and stress management.
That’s quite an impressive. How do you think your experiences have influenced you in practicing psychology?
Rossi: My diverse background, including experiences in the dynamic world of television and cinema where I’ve worn various hats as an actor, author, and producer, has shaped my understanding of the human condition and honed my skills as a psychologist. It has taught me to appreciate the diversity of human experiences and has illuminated my true calling, which is to guide individuals towards happier and healthier lives.
Fascinating! Could you tell us more about your approach to therapy?
Rossi: I’m passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients, where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and work towards positive change. I use various modalities such as Imaginative Psychotherapy, EMDR, Counseling for Depression, Hypnotherapy, NLP, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness to cater to the unique needs of each client.
That’s a comprehensive approach. Can you share a bit about how your international exposure has influenced your work?
Rossi: My exposure has given me a deep appreciation for the world in all its beautiful diversity. It has shaped me into a true citizen of the world and has allowed me to seamlessly connect with colleagues and patients from all over the globe. This global perspective has enriched my understanding of mental health and has enabled me to approach therapy with a culturally sensitive lens.
Mr. Rossi, you’ve been working with “Cure of Mind,” a European online clinic for mental health that offers online appointments to people worldwide. Can you share what inspired you to join them and how this platform might influence your practice?
Rossi: I was drawn to “Cure of Mind” because of their mission to make mental health care accessible to everyone, regardless of their location. I’ve always believed in the importance of making mental health services available to as many people as possible.
Working with “Cure of Mind” allows me to connect with clients worldwide, both in private and corporate settings. It has also reinforced my belief in the power of technology to break down barriers and make mental health care more accessible. It’s truly rewarding to know that through this platform, I can reach individuals who might not otherwise have access to these services.
The online format also offers a unique opportunity for clients to engage in therapy in a space where they feel most comfortable, which can often lead to more open and honest communication. It’s a different approach, but one that can be incredibly effective.
That’s truly commendable. Thank you for your time today and for the important work you do.
Rossi: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share about my work. I hope our conversation can inspire others to seek help when they need it and to realize that mental health care is available and accessible, no matter where they are.
